Catriona Plunkett ITEC FHT IAIM NRRI CPMT is a Holistic Therapist and trainer based in Portlaoise, Co.Laois.
Catriona is the owner of Golden Egg Holistic, a centre of excellence for Diploma and Post Graduate training programmes in Holistic Therapies. The centre was recently awarded ‘Irelands top Holistic Therapy training centre ’.
Catriona has qualifications in many specialised complementary therapies including Baby Massage, Paediatric Massage , Story Massage, Touch Therapy for Autism and
Cerebral Palsy , Massage for Children with special healthcare needs, Fertility Massage, Pregnancy and Post Partum Massage, Thai Massage , Fertility and Baby Reflexology, Digestion Massage, Aromatherapy for children and Womens health, Indian Head Massage, Massage for people living with cancer.
Apart from a busy teaching schedule, she also works with clients on a one-to-one basis and has a special interest in working with women during pregnancy and the post–partum period. Her passion and commitment has motivated her to study under many experts in the field of Holistic Therapies. Through this immersion in many different approaches, she has developed her own unique tried and tested techniques.
Catriona has a strong belief in complementary Therapies and how they can benefit. our physical, mental and emotional health. She is a member of the Irish Massage Therapists Institute (IMTA) ,National Reflexology Institute of Ireland (NRRI) and the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).
Catriona holds regular Baby classes at her centre where parents and their babies can learn basic massage and reflexology techniques to use with their babies to help them through different challenges such as teething, sleeping, digestion, etc. She loves being a small part of such a precious time in a parents life and finds the classes help to support and empower parents in a nurturing , fun and a non-judgemental environment . The tea and chats after the class are also very important :)
